I'm reading Charles Stross's novel "Singularity Sky". It's quite fun to read. Lots of scientific ideas such as EPR correlation, causality, anthropic principle, etc. If you add a lot of satirical humor to Greg Egan's Distress and Diaspora and subtract some scientific fidelity, you get Singularity Sky. There are also Star Trek-like space fleet battles, which is exciting (but his Geek Code says "!t". It must be a typo).
